Bittersweet Justice (part 8)
"Near! You're here now too. Come on in. Guys, Near is here!"
L called out to them as he came back to the living room with a young man dressed all in white, with white hair. He was clutching a model airplane and started babbling on about his first plane ride that he'd just been on.
"Near, manners and stuff." L tried to tell him but was interrupted by yet more loud yelling.
"What the fuck is he doing here, get out, I hate you Near, fuck off out of here!"
There was a bang on the wall and a shout to shut up from their neighbour. L sighed.
"Mello, put your gun away. Light, we really must move somewhere with no neighbours, since you're all yel

The bedroom door opened and Light walked back into the living room. Misa dropped L's arm and screamed in fright.
"But you're dead! Light! Did you come back from the dead because you couldn't leave me?"
Light gave her a dirty look.
"No dumbass. You forgot an important rule when making your plan. The Death Note can't do the impossible. You can't make L fall for you, he's in love with me. So step away from him right now."
"Oh thank God you're ok my love." L pulled Light into his arms in relief.
"But I killed you myself!" Misa was so confused.
Light was trying not to laugh.
"No Misa, you were so angry you didn't notice me move over and you

Matt and Mello looked as shocked the other guys as they remembered their dealings with Misa.
"And that's not all. L called me to tell me Nate River's real name. Guess who is on their way here Mello? Guess who is gonna beat you yet again?"
Mello's face contorted with rage. "L, how fucking dare you!"
"How fucking dare YOU!" L screamed back.
In the confusion, Misa grabbed Light and dragged him into the bedroom, where she promptly handcuffed him to the bed.
"So Light, you've been sharing this bed with L? Well you know Misa-Misa doesn't like to share. I always knew you were a

Misa stormed into her apartment, slammed the door after her and screamed. Her neighbours were used to this by now and had stopped complaining. Misa always charmed them and promised to stop but the same thing would happen again soon enough.
She sat down to think. She had been so rudely made to leave the Jeevas and Keehl office after being told they had found nothing about her Light.
She scowled and tapped a finger on the coffee table. Something about this was off. The detectives had just seemed too smug as they delivered the news. There was something else about those two that irked her but she couldn't quite place it.

The other three guys were all laughing again. Light fell down dramatically so he was lying on the couch.
"Light, you ok?" L asked through his laughter.
Light sat back up.
"Misa Amane! My god, does she ever give up? Couldn't she have jumped off a roof or something by now?"
"Now Light, that's not nice." L tried to stop laughing to tell him off seriously.
"Ok ok but why can't she just forget me and move on. Why me? Why did it have to be Misa who hired you? Anyone but her!"
Mello was clapping now, he was laughing so hard.
"Settle down Mello," Matt rolled his eyes at but couldn't hide his smile.

L and Light walked down their apartment building hall holding hands and lightheartedly debating the show they had just seen on their theatre date. It was just their way to make a debate of everything, even if they actually agreed.
As they approached the corner before their apartment, a figure stepped out into their path. Average height, slim, dressed in leather, black coat with hood up, left side of face turned away from them.
"Is that a freaking boa?!" Light shouted.
L elbowed him with a "shhh"
"Yes it's a freaking boa! It's called fashion, ok khaki boy!" The figure roared back.
L tried to stifle his laugh, both at the stranger's

At night L felt the burden and knew he was facing hell or worse after death, but when he looked into Light's beautiful brown eyes as they opened every morning, he knew he was living in heaven at least for now. They would both surely face hell after death, but L's main concern now was protecting Light from the truth.
The Light he was in love with felt just as outraged by the Kira case, having a similarly strong sense of justice. L still couldn't quite connect Light as Kira with the Light he knew, or figure out how his Light had reached that place, but he'd be damned if Light ever had to live with that knowledge and guilt.

L turned off the evening news with a sigh and a heavy heart. He was all over the news and social media yet again. It seemed almost daily since he had 'solved' the Kira case and gone from being known as the world's greatest detective to the world's biggest hero.
He stood up and put a blanket over his lover who had already fallen asleep on the couch. L knew he'd be awake most if not all of the night, working to distract himself from the anxiety that always consumed him at night.
He knelt beside the couch for a moment and stroked the brunette hair he loved so much.

Yuri Plisetsky has trained hard at ballet for as long as he can remember. It has always been his ultimate goal to be principal dancer for the best company. A goal, not merely a dream, as he has every intention of making it happen.
His dance instructor, Lilia, fully believes in and encourages his talent. But she also worries that his drive and determination may eat him alive or result in injury for the young Russian boy.
So she suggests he starts taking some time each week to do something he can enjoy without the stress that his ballet training gives him.
Yuri is not sure at first but agrees so as to please his instructor. And so he finds h
